Who We Are

New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership

Each year, the New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NYMEP)program assists thousands of the State’s 26,000 small and mid-sized manufacturers in becoming more competitive.  All of our services are provided at substantially-reduced rates and are offered through the most cost effective combination of center field engineers/staff and outside consultants.  Every field consultant has a minimum four-year degree (the majority have graduate training) and at least fifteen years of hands-on manufacturing experience.

CENTER SERVICES:  Our ten regional centers offer a myriad of services to help small to medium-size manufacturers in a multitude of areas.  A sampling of these services includes:  Legal, Risk Management and Financial Consulting – Entrepreneurial Assistance Programs (including developing and launching commercial products, registering patents and securing capital) – Productivity Improvement – ISO 9000 Registration – E-Business Audits – Sales and Marketing Analyses – International Trade Outreach Assistance – Operational Improvements – Workforce Development – Plant Floor Layout – Business Development (including fiscal assessment, strategic planning, cost reduction and budgeting).  The NYMEP Program is operated through ten not-for-profit regional offices and is administered by the New York State Office of Science, Technology & Academic Research (NYSTAR), in conjunction with NIST of the U.S. Department of Commerce.  For further information on any of the services offered, or to discuss your company’s specific needs, contact the center nearest you or the statewide office.  Our ten centers include:
