2021 Hill Day | February 23-24
Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill
ASMC members and client companies gather once a year in the Washington, D.C. area for its annual “Hill Day” event. The purpose of the event is for ASMC members and clients companies to meet with his/her respective Congressional delegation to advocate support for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program in its annual appropriations process. The support for the MEP program stems from the incredible technical assistance provided by ASMC members to the manufacturing community in efforts to improve the industry’s competitiveness through innovative solutions to manufacturers’ product, process and people needs.

Opening Reception
5:00 – 7:00 pm
ASMC will host an opening reception to celebrate attendees manufacturing achievements and network with colleagues and peers. Congressional speakers (to be confirmed) will address ASMC members and client companies.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2021
Breakfast and Advocacy 101 Seminar
7:30 – 9:00 am
Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill
This is an informal seminar to answer your questions about legislative activities and approaching congressional offices to request increased funding for the MEP program. Attendees will also hear from colleagues regarding lessons and tips learned about conversing with congressional staff to build effective congressional relationships. Due to varying meeting times with Congressional staff, ASMC members should make their own arrangements for transportation to Capitol Hill.

During the closing reception, ASMC Hill Day attendees will relax and reflect on the day’s Congressional visits. As this is an informal reception, no elected officials will be invited to address attendees.
